Welcome to K.R.A.K.L. in Japan (Kenneth, Robert, Amos, Kay, Lucas)
We just finished our first full day in Japan and we are all about ready to hit the sack. Despite the jetlag, we got a good night sleep at the Chi Alpha Student Center in Tokyo and started the day off with orientation and an overview of our time here in Japan, then after lunch we went to the grocery store and got food for breakfast for the week. One of the girls who works with Chi Alpha, namely Amanda, teaches an english class for Japanese children at a church in Tokyo as an outreach to the kids and their parents. The highlight of the day was when we got to play with the kids, they were sooooo crazy! We played a game called "McDonald's" and they were running around and having a blast. I really like this type of outreach because english is very popular in Japan and it is an easy way for the church to build long-lasting relationship with the people, which has proven to be the most effective kind of evangelism in Japan.
You can pray for;
-Our bodies to recover from jetlag quickly
-Strength for our bodies, esp. Robert's legs (we are walking much more than our bodies are used to),
-Robert's suitcase got left behind in San Francisco, so we need that asap
-love and humility within our team
-grace for the other half of the team as they prepare to arrive here on June 1
We will be updating this blog daily with new praise reports and prayer points:)
Thanks for listening
Over and out

Hey guys, this is Fia. I am so glad to know the first half of the team made it safely. Sorry about the bag but I have full confidence that God will restore it as He knows you have need of it. As I asked God to give me a heart to pray for you all and the people of Japan, I was led to Psalm 107, specifically verses 33-36, 42. I hope this blesses you guys in some way. If you need me to, I can expound but I am trying to cut this shorter. I do commit to pray for you guys every day that your gone. I will also share your updates with Word of Life and Blue Springs Assembly of God which are both praying for you all as well.
ReplyDeletePart of my personal prayer is that God will not hold His peace but that He will cause His word to spring up from the ground and fill each of your hearts with grace to sustain you in this season of great harvest for His kingdom. Be strengthened with might in your inner man, in your emotions and in your physical bodies. Nothing but greatness lies ahead. I look forward to the updates.
